This blockmount has been hanging in the kitchen, over the stove, for over 30 years. I still don't know the exact date of production, but its amazing to see how long lasting this process is.
At the time, blockmounting was now as fast and simple as today. Back in the day, the press was like a grill toaster and weight was applied on top to pressure the photo on to the wood.
Also the particular picture is a part of a wall mural. A very fashionable decoration in the 80's where pieces of posters made up one picture. Powdered glue was included in the package to mix with water and stick it to the wall, much like Wheat paste.
